Advac is motor, the Amvac is solinoid operated. The most common problem we find is the control boards fail on the Amvac series.

DS frame charging mechanism repairs.
These two DS frame circuit breakers where the clients spare breakers that would no longer work in the application. We replaced the charging mechanisms and added charging motors, closing coils, shunt trips, OTS, cut-off, auxilliary, and limit switches. Complete rewire and AC-Pro-II retrofit kits installed.
We have repaired, serviced, and tested hundreds of SPB frames. We stock all SPB frames, parts and accessories.

The GB frame is the latest insulated case offering from GE.
We have repaired countless Powerbreak II's due the the failed charging mechanism. We have designed our own replacement spring discharge dampener and the breaker can be repaied in as little as 15min.
We have repaired quite a few GE VB.1 medium voltage breakers. We have factory tooling and guages to perform all mechanism repairs and bottle replacements with the tighest of tolerances. Every medium voltage breaker that comes through our facility is not just repaired or tested we spend the required time to thoroughly check and adjust all wipe and gap measurements, we also measure several data points such as current and timing for charging motors, close and trip coils, and auxilliary contact resistance. This is in addition to the standard NETA maintenance testing specifications.
These are a rare breed, not many options for replacement so when Ampteks received the emegency call we went to work and where able to resolve the issues and the client was back up the same day.
MagnumDS
We are considered the authority on Masterpact MP frames. We have worked with URC to help develop the AC-PRO-MP trip unit retrofit kit to replace failing trip units. We have installed and tested more than 1000 units. We stock frames, trip units as well as hundreds of parts and accessories.

We have repaired Square D SEF and SED frames for trip-free, defective Micrologic Series B trip units. We stock almost all frames fro SED and SEF, the SEF364000LSG and SEF363000LSG are sold on exchange basis only. We stock parts and accessories for this frame as well.
We have refurbished and tested numerous PC frames. We where also involved in the development of the AC-Pro trip unit retrofit kit for this frame as well.
Emergency repair of two MagnumDS breakers. Both breakers had issues comminicating with the external PLC logic. Issues where resolved by replacing the OTS on one and the Aux switch on the second breaker.
